Our Company Profile

Aerocell was established in 1984 and has supplied two component spray foams to the mining industry since 1986. Situated in an industrial park, security is first grade for visitors and occupants. Professionalism is the keyword for a company that has been in business for more than three decades and is respected by clients and competitors alike. The company relies heavily on its reputation and company representatives maintain customer relationships as well as distribute marketing material for further reference.

Aerocell launched Vent-Seal spray foam in 1996 after years of research. Vent-Seal has been extensively tested by the South African Scientific Investigation and Research Organisation (CSIR) and was originally approved for underground use in South Africa by the SA Government Mining Engineer. This was after urethane spray foams were banned from use underground in South Africa following a fire disaster at Kinross Mine on December 16th, 1986 that claimed the lives of 177 miners when urethane foam burnt releasing toxic gases.

Vent-seal is manufactured locally and exported internationally for use in mining industries primarily for ventilation control underground and for sealing off underground fires.

Aerocell started producing Lead nitrate in 2001. Lead Nitrate is supplied to the mining industry and is used in some processes for the extraction of precious metals from ore.

Aerocell developed a Pepper Fog defence spray system in 2005 for installation in armoured vehicles for the cash in transit industry.

Customer service and product performance are the most important marketing tools for Aerocell. Participation in exhibitions related to the mining industry and sponsoring of golf days are part and parcel of the company's strategy.

Since most of our products are discarded once used, after sales service is limited to attending to queries and maintaining customer satisfaction.  With limited room for expansion in a small company as it is currently structured, staff is kept motivated and driven through new projects and the prospects of resultant growth.

Aerocell is currently developing a urethane conveyer idler/roller and aim to launch this new product in 2009.

Aerocell is a member of SIFSA and follow their regulations regarding labour and other related laws. The company adhere to the national regulations and update on a regular basis. Training related to Aerocell is done regularly and involves all staff members. Vat and PAYE is in place and on the BEE line, Aerocell strive as far as possible to empower keeping within the spirit of BEE but without compromising their pursuit of excellence.

Our willingness and commitment to cater to the industries demands including a 24 hour emergency network puts us in a class above.

Profit and growth ensure survival, which is why Aerocell’s directors continually strive to expand and diversify within the mining industry both locally and internationally.
